Back From Outerspace

I can't say that I have a ton of followers or fans, but to those of you that are interested in my work, I'm so sorry that I've been MIA for going on eight months now!!  You wouldn't believe the crazy coaster ride my family has been on.  It was nauseating and I'm so thankful to be back on solid ground again!  To give you a better understanding and to explain my circumstances in a nutshell, my husband was honorably discharged from the Navy this past June, however it was not by choice.  It left us in a lurch not knowing what do with ourselves as we were not prepared for civilian freedom quite so soon.  God works in mysterious ways though and it was meant to be whether we understood it or not, or even liked it.  We decided to take a leap of faith and follow my hubby's dream of going to film school.  His father's side of the family just so happened to live in the Bay Area near a prominent film school.  So it was off to California to live with my in-laws.  This was in July.  Film school, living in California, and living with parents, turned out to be more than we bargained for and before long it started tearing our little family apart.  It was decided then that we best not waste anymore time in this short lifespan and head towards someplace better suited for us.  We then turned our hearts back home to where both my husband and I grew up and met in High School in Oregon.  We packed up a U-haul and drove back home on New Year's Eve.  It was a fourteen hour drive and we didn't get in till 11:30pm December 31st, but it was so worth it to get to spend New Years back in Oregon.  It has been twelve years since we moved away to live our lives serving the Navy, and man does it sure feel good to be back!!  Finally to be home again, it's like dipping cold toes in a nice warm foot bath, ahhhhhhh, that sure hits the spot!!  Now that we are settling in to our new home, my creative spark is resurfacing I am ending this nearly eight month long scrapbooking hiatus!  Hallelujah I'm back on the craft wagon again!!  So there you have it, an explanation for my unbelievably long absence.  Thanks so much for waiting for me and I look forward to sharing with you all again!!

February's Prima Pick and Palette

I recently have had a leave of absence from the scrapbooking world if you hadn't noticed by the entry date of my last blog post.  I can't believe I haven't posted a single thing on my blog in over six months!!!  I'm not going to go into detail about having to explain how my family and I have moved twice in the last six months, but I'm trying to get back in the groove now.  My crafting space is almost back together again and I'm getting reacquainted with my favorite manufacturer's blogs.  I came across Prima's post from today and decided to share it on my blog as well, but actually you know as well as I do that if you re-post Prima's original blog post on your own blog that you can be entered to win some beautiful Prima products!!  Since I could use some fresh products to play with to get my creative juices flowing again why not share the love!..........
